I’m here to bring you this keto cheddar bay biscuits recipe (also known as cheesy keto biscuits)… and you’ll fall in love with them. My keto cheddar biscuits are full of cheesy, buttery flavor without the carbs that are typically associated with them. The best part is that these keto cheese biscuits are ready in 30 minutes with only 8 ingredients. What more do you need in life than easy, keto, low carb cheddar biscuits?!
These low carb cheese biscuits were inspired by my favorite almond flour biscuit recipe. With just a few additional ingredients, we have a cheesy version!
WHAT EXACTLY ARE KETO CHEDDAR BISCUITS?
These are essentially keto Red Lobster cheddar bay biscuits. You’ve seen them, haven’t you? They appear with your dinner and are completely irresistible. Buttery and cheesy… and loaded with refined flours!
So I created this keto cheddar bay biscuit recipe so that we could all join in on the fun. And I believe it tastes exactly like the original!
This keto cheddar biscuit recipe is simpler than you think – it only takes 10 minutes to prepare!
Here’s how to make keto cheddar biscuits:
Dry ingredients for cheesy keto biscuits should be combined. Combine almond flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and sea salt in a mixing bowl.
Combine the wet ingredients. Stir in the egg, heavy cream, and melted butter until the dough comes together. Stir in the shredded cheese. The dough will be thick and sticky.
Scoop keto cheddar bay biscuits onto a plate. Scoop the dough onto a lined baking sheet with a large cookie dough scoop and shape into a rounded biscuit shape.
TIP: Flatten them slightly, but leave some room for them to spread. If you want them to look more rustic, don’t form a perfect disc.
Bake the keto cheddar biscuits until they are golden and semi-firm. Allow them to cool for 10 minutes.
TIP: The biscuits will not completely firm up while baking. Allowing them to cool for a few minutes is critical for them to set and not fall apart. Don’t worry, they’ll be fine.
Top with the topping. Combine the butter, parsley, garlic powder, and sea salt in a mixing bowl. Serve with the cheddar keto biscuits.
